Pittsburgh Among Most Generous Cities
Feb 4, 2010Pittsburgh is one of the most generous cities in the United States, a new study shows.
Pittsburgh ranks 14th on a list ranking charity donations in 2009 among 273 cities with populations of more than 100,000.
The report ranks the cities based on per capita online giving and on the total amount donated online through Austin, Texas-based Convio.
Pittsburghers gave $2.7 million, or an average of $63.45 each, in 2009, compared with $2.55 million, or $73.30 each, in 2008.
